Thinking about owning your own business? Love to Cook? That Kitchen Shop will give you the opportunity to be successful while running a business you’ll love!
How it all started.
That Kitchen Shop was founded as "Kitchen & Company" in 1982 in Seattle, opening its first store at South Center Mall. In 1987 and 1991, new stores were opened in Northgate and Alderwood Malls making "Kitchen & Company" one of the largest kitchenware retailer in Seattle.
In May, 2001, entrepreneur Dave Jennings purchased the company, revitalized it and re-branded it as That Kitchen Shop, a place to shop for all of us who love to cook! The company revealed a more contemporary look, with an efficient shopping design, inviting, warm & friendly environment in its re-branding.
Why That Kitchen Shop?
The timing couldn’t be better! The rise in popularity of cooking as a hobby, with the advent of cooking shows and TV Networks, has been nothing short of an explosion. Lifestyle trends show a continuing interest in the trend of “cocooning” or staying at home and that the human needs and emotions will continue to have a big impact on the marketplace in coming years. It’s easy to see that the time is right for a franchised kitchenware store for “the rest of us!”
